    Hi all.

I am hoping to apply for an internship. The problem is that they all ask for a minimum number of ucas points and it appears that despite being a 3rd year Uni student who has done 4 years at college and gained an HNC and HND I don't have any as they don't get assigned points by UCAS.

Does anyone know what I can do?

How do people who have gotten into Uni through HND route gain internships if we don't have any UCAS points?

Isn't it a bit of a disgrace that UCAS don't assign points to such a common qualification?

Thank you in advance to anyone who answers.

UCAS only apply tariff points to level 3 qualifications. An HND is a level 5 qualification.

You need to speak to the people asking for tariff points and ask their policy for students with different qualifications.

The HND is university level study and UCAS only assign points to pre university study. What they want are a certain number of points from the qualifications you gained to get onto the HND, whether that be a Btec, or A-Levels or Access course (I believe the Access course will be assigned UCAS points starting from this year). Many graduate schemes have similar requirements.
