    Hello,

I have been employed by sports direct on a zero hour contract for over two years now. I got the job whilst in sixth form and worked a lot and can't complain about it. However, since moving away to uni I have only been back once during the Christmas holidays to work again.

I've now not done a shift there or received a wage from them for a over a year.

Now that I'm looking to get a new job this summer, I want to quit and get my P45.

However, because I no longer live nearby and haven't worked for over a year, how do I go about quitting?

    Thank you

    You are required to pay.

I'm surprised they haven't taken you off the rota. One of my colleagues didn't turn up for a few months and my store sent them a letter that basically said they're no longer an employee there. Do you have any contact numbers of any of the management there? Could ring them up and see what they say.

If you haven't been paid for over a year, then a P45 probably won't be relevant, because it is a record of pay earned in the current tax year. Just start the new job and i think it's a P46 you have to complete.
