I have an offer from Birmingham to study music and having visited it I think I will be putting it down as my first choice!
In terms of accommodation I would quite like to be on the Vale and at the moment my first choice is Chamberlain. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the accommodation open day so I thought I would post some of my questions here:

As music is a subject which usually involves lots of extra curricular activities and concerts etc. would I be better off going for something a bit closer to the music building on campus or are there lots of other music students at the Vale.
Is Chamberlain worth the extra money or should I consider a cheaper alternative?
Is the food on the meal plan good or should I go with self-catered accommodation?
    Any help would be welcome.

    Thank you!
