    What is a Pass, Merit and Distinction equivalent to in grades?

    As when I did mine, quite a few years back, they were; Dictinction = A, Merit = C, and Pass = E.
    Will most likely still stand the same, but probs need to be confirmed.
    I think they have also included a Distinction * (star) to increase the ceiling in BTEC's (to A* rather than A), but didn't have that when I did mine.
