    Hi guys,

I've sent my application to Student Finance England off already and I'm waiting for my parents to fill in their financial information.

There's going to be a change to our household income, though - my mum is opting for redundancy due to family complications and we'll be facing a pretty significant decrease in our income.

Will this have any effect on the amount I receive from Student Finance or will the amount remain the same? She has to submit evidence of her earnings except she'll no longer have these earnings when I actually go to university, so my income will be much lower

    All help appreciated!

See the last section of: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/cont...udents-2016-17 and https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-student...usehold-income

Your mum's redundancy payment would be included in any calculation so you (or your mum) need to work out whether your household income in 2014/15 would be 15% higher than for 2016/17 including the redundancy payment if it comes through after April 6 2016.
