If we could form an unofficial marksheme after the exam tomorrow that would be good for us all to put our minds at rest - I will remember as much as I can if others want to help me that's cool

Hi guys, this is my solution (in C# but can be understood by most people) of how to Only allow move if placed in a position to flip a piece

Good luck guys. Just a heads up, my teacher reckons Section B will be a flowchart instead of the normal pseudocode cause it is every few years.

Ah man I was dreading a flowchart, still hoping it doesnt come up. Pseudo code is much easier to program imo

I've never even worked with flow charts, so I pray that AQA don't pull a move like that!
Pseudo Code is so easy though, It's literally just follow the instructions.

Exactly, the pesudocode for the last 2 past papers have been so easy to program. Flowcharts you never know exactly what kinda loop you have to do

    Done, Pretty good exam.
    Couldn't be asked to work out what 1600 (i think) X 2 x 20 was xD
I managed to do the last question , however it didnt work.
For the last question i did a nested loop with rows and columns then a if condition inside the nested loop that check if flip is possible then print them out.
Possibly lost around 7-8 marks max.

Hope it was good for u guys too!!

Generally thought that was a fairly decent exam - most of section A was straightforward, section B was easy apart from what the pseudo code did, section C was ok and section D was good apart from the last question.

What did everyone put for what the pseudo code did in section B? I wasn't sure - I put calculates the square root of the input 😂

That went very well for me, i think
just some answers i think can remember for section a-c,
    question 1. 180
    fixed pt question 5.625
    negative binary -76 (i think i wrote)
    512 byte image?
    4 sample resoloution
    1600 hz
    48000 for something

these are all i can remember at the minute i will have skipped the questions i cannot remmber

Edit: sample res. (I forgot what i wrote in exam when i said 4 it was the first number i remembere because code was in 4 sections, my bad): 12 bit

    4 sample resoloution
Sample resolution is 12 bit, the rest is correct

Though it was a pretty good exam. Got all of them except 4 sample resolution, I think it was 12 but they mislead you by putting them in 4 bits.

    5.625
    -76
    B4
4 parity bits for hamming code?
Minimum of 2 extra states for the FSM?
Hexadecimal easier to understand for humans etc
Vector graphics use geometric scaling, load faster from secondary storage

Last question was hard but I eventually got there by using two for loops and 4 if statements that checked if a flip was possible, then if they were appended the coordinates to an array and printed the array.
