    They've both caused deaths of innocent civilians because they are ideologicially opposed to the other. The difference being that western powers have caused less and try to avoid civilian casualties whereas IS will actively aim for it.

    None of which in anyway impacts the point I was originally making that if we're prepared to bomb a country we should be prepared to take in the people who want to leave what we're dropping bombs on.
    It's not legitimate ideological opposition.

    ISIS and Assad are what's making people leave Syria, not European air strikes. The number of civilian deaths caused by the latter is less than 1% of that caused by the former.
