I've got an offer to a uni I want to go to but I have decided to take a gap year.

I want to know if I were to miss the entry requiremts what would happen??

For example if I were to miss it by one grade would I still have the same possibity of being accepted as a non-deferring person would?
    Thanks.

Assuming you mean if you were to reapply with grades below the requirements. It depends entirely on the university, how competitive the course is, the quality of applicants etc

Call up their admissions team and ask them. It'll be different for different uni's.

Is your offer deferred? If yes then they would treat you the same as a non-deferring applicant. Which is to say you may or may not be given a place depending on what happens on the day.

If you haven't told them you want to defer you should do so asap, not on results day. They may or may not allow it, but they certainly won't like it if you tell them at the last minute.

If you miss your deferred offers do you go through clearing this year or do you reapply next year with the grades you achieved?

Clearing is only for places starting that September. If you want to start in a year's time, you'll need to reapply with achieved grades (which is good - it means you have the full range of courses to choose from and will get unconditional offers, so the pressure is off)
