I have no idea on what career i want to do. Currently im in 5th year at high school in Scotland and sitting my highers (A levels equivalent). I'm doing English, History, Modern Studies, Maths and French.

I'm most interested in maybe studying English, journalism, politics or maybe even law, but have no idea what to do. I'm most concerned about job opportunities, I don't want to be a teacher and when i try and do research that's all that comes up.

    Help?

No need to decide now. But you've pretty much nailed the sector.

You could do any humanities subject at university. I would recommend English Lit/History/PPE.

Firstly whatever you do, don't rush into a decision, you don't have to go to university straight from school if you don't know what you want to study. Many jobs just require a degree to tick the 'has a degree box.' The rest is down to the applicant- and succesful applicants almost always have work experience gained whilst at university & strong soft skills.
