So I don't go to school but I'm trying to get the Chemistry A Level. Have to get As because I hope to do medicine. Just finished what I thought was the AS syllabus and discovered the syllabus changed this year...

How different is the new one? Do I need to go and buy all new books? How does one do past papers if there are no past papers? I'm freaking out. Please, please someone tell me what's happening.

I also have to work out how to take the practicals and would deeply appreciate the low down on what they're called and how many of them there are.

    Thank you so much.

Chemistry is chemistry. The new syllabus is not much different to the old one in terms of content. Get a copy or have a look at the content in the website in my sig.

The new specification is quite similar to the old one so a lot of the past paper questions are actually very similar to what the questions are going to be like. AQA should have example papers for the new spec which you could use to practice and I think there's a list of practicals on the specification which is on the AQA website. Good luck with your chemistry!
