One of these two will probably be my last back-up, but I'm not sure which. Which one would you say?

If you're trying to get into Sussex for English and French (as it says in your profile) then good luck.

You'll need AAA-AAB, including an A in English.

^ Yeah, I want to do English and French.

Ok, thanks. Sussex has high standards then.

Sussex sounds sexier.

^ Haha.

Brighton, or Colchester. Wow - that's a tough one. Can't comment on either department, other than to say Sussex is most probably more prestigious.

Sussex rather than Essex, but don't be fooled into thinking they must be fantastic if they have high grade boundaries. Sussex gave me an offer that was higher than Manchester, York and UCL. Hmm...

They are fantastic, but only at a very specific ('Sussexy') type of English, which is quite interdisciplinary, critically minded, and definitely not to everyone's taste.

If you haven't already, take a look at the programme specification.

I'm sure they are fantastic, but I'm making the point that high grade boundaries doesn't necessarily equal fantastic. I didn't apply for English anyway, so I know nothing about this Sussexy type
