I recently got invited to an assessment center from a big company. The problem is, I have a degree from another EU country which i thought was 2:1. Turns out after a small research the equivalent I got is 2:2 (missed by 0.03% if you can believe that).

These guys require a 2:1 degree. So here is my problem. Do I go there anyway and see what happens? (It's a long trip just to be turned away). Or do I call them and ask and risk my invitation being cancelled? Are there any chances of being accepted? Will they even check it? So many questions and I can't find anything helpful online.

If the trip is overseas you should probably contact them first. Otherwise go for it.
