Hey I'm currently in year 11 and I have chosen these A-Levels to do next year: English Lit, English Lang, Biology and Geography. I roughly understand what to expect but if anyone who is doing any of these A-Levels could tell me a bit about how they are coping and what more to expect it would really help. Thanks!

English literature is hard (although maybe that's because I'm a sciency person) and I wasn't prepared for the amount of quotes you need to know (you don't get any of the 4 books in the exam) but it is still fun and quite rewarding as I can see my writing style getting better. I've heard that in biology there is lots and lots of info to learn but is generally easier than the other sciences in terms of difficulty of content.

What examining boards are you doing?

Of those I only have personal experience with Biology and I've found it hard, it's one of those subjects where you really need to hammer down on past papers and learning the mark scheme to get an idea of what the examiners want. There is a lot to learn, but I found Biology easier than Chemistry (which, I later dropped).

I've been told by friends that English is hard and they don't like it, from what I could tell there is a lot of coursework to do, and you are given a lot of assignments.
