I was just wondering,if anyone on here had got in to uni through clearing as well as how likely it is to get a place by doing this. I'm looking to study life sciences at uni of Leeds or uni of Manchester in particular!

After flunking his exams, one of my best mates had to go through clearing, and after explaining what grades he had attained he was offered a place on a Pharmacology course. He absolutely loves the course, and as he was originally applying to university to study Film & Media, he would never have picked it himself. Point is, clearing isn't as disasterous as some make it out to be. Whilst you may not get on your preferred course, there are others on offer that may interest you - It's your decision to take the risk.
