I personally don't agree with the punishments that appear to be set in stone; the House relies too heavily on bans at the moment.
True - I think the Speaker should be given freedom to act depending upon the situation, etc.

Would've thought you wouldn't be aching to be banned again so soon.

I'm sure you're smart enough to be able to tell a joke when you see it, I don't know the ways around the dupe check just yet

I suspect different computer + vpn, keeping both accounts logged in sometimes should do it but that seems like way too much effort to go to to cheat in a game.

You know me, to prove a point I would probably do it

The only difficulty would be the different device bit given that I have no device I rarely use for TSR.

Are people seriously discussing how to get around a dupe check? Tut tut.

Anyway, nay. Too restrictive. We should leave it up to the Speaker and the CT to decide the punishments for dupes.

Whiggy you're new here so you have fresh eyes. What would you suggest we do instead of banning left, right and centre?

I agree with a dupe check for indies but not party MP's which should be at the disgression of the party unless there is reason to belive there. Is a dupe. Also in my times here there are been many dupes and most are felt with internally. I don't support the whole house being told about every dupe. We'd end up with a dupe found a week or so.

    Exactly.
Party matters should be dealt with by the party, we don't need to announce it to everyone every single time.

Find a coffee shop or something with free wifi that you've never been into before to get a different IP address - it's then perfectly plausible that you arranged with a friend to let them borrow your laptop/device on occasion because you had some software they didn't or something, and then one day you left TSR open on the MHoC in your browser, they got curious and boom. If necessary leave another device open on TSR at home to get round the online at the same time thing.

Not that I've ever actually done this, though that's more because of the general lack of places with free wifi in rural Kentish market towns than any sense of principle
If I were to dupe, I would either use an untraceable web browse like Tor or I would use a VPN blocker. Not I would ever do this.

I think some sort of restorative justice may work.

Well, a sort of 'MHoC Community Service'. If the member in question wishes to remain in the House, then they can carry out good deeds that would reassure the rest of the House that said member can successfully reintergrate without further offences.

Well, I'm not particularly sure. We should all look at possible good deeds.
