No Steyn again for SA. Wiese in the side.

Good effort by Afghanistan, that de Villiers over was the tipping point. 29 off a single over!

ABDV took the game away from Afghanistan - but he was left with a grim face after they made such a fast and frenetic start in reply.

I actually felt SA's total was a little shy, and better teams would have punished them. Their seam bowlers gave away far too many wides again, and if it wasn't for Morris, they may very well have lost the match.

Surely they need to start Steyn? Rabada, Abbott, Wiese et al are offering far too little. It was also concerning for them to see Duminy hobble off.

Speaking of which, what a shame to see the crowd at the Windies game denied the chance to watch Chris Gayle. They obviously didn't know he was injured, hence the chanting. Still, a fantastic innings from Fletcher, and Badree was fantastic with the ball with figures of 3-12 from 4 overs.

Complete **** move by Umar Akmal to moan to Imran Khan about wanting to bat at three (what did he think IK was going to do - deliver an order to Afridi to do it?), no wonder Afridi was ticked off and rightly so. Typical Akmals attitude - would have been tempted to give him a chappal slap to the head for that sort of behaviour. But do feel the pep talk from Imran was unnecessary, for all the talk of it being a regular game from Wahab pre-match, that sort of talk only adds pressure IMO. Big game on Tuesday vs New Zealand - only hope is their accruing of 4pts so far brings some complacency.

It'll be interesting to see whether Australia are troubled by Bangladesh today.

They surely need to drop Agar, especially with the pitch offering more to seamers, according to reports. I'd expect them to bring in Hazlewood, because Smith has said the pitch reminds him of the IPL ones.

Apparently Lehmann has said that Khawaja may be replaced by Finch, which is an odd move given that Khawaja gave them such a blistering start against NZ before the middle order ****ed him over.

Bangladesh have never beaten them in the format, of course, but they may trouble them with the spinning ball because we all know Australia are hardly great players of turn.

Will have to see if Mustafizur Rahman has recovered from his injury. If he's back, Taskin won't be too much of a miss and we won't need to readjust the entire balance of the side. Don't think Sunny being out is the end of the world. We have other players who can come in.

A lot will depend on what kind of pitch it is. Aus and Ban have polar opposites in terms of what suits them for bowling (fast/hard wicket vs slow/turning wicket).

On a side note - why is there often only one game a day? Surely they could almost half the tournament length by having 2 games a day?

Mustafizur isn't 100% recovered but he has no choice but to play. Not sure why but I think it's better to have only 1 game a day

I think they were hoping he would be fit for the group games. Although they really shouldn't risk him if he's not ready to be back.. Long term benefits over short term gains. You'd think they would learn after seeing how Mortaza's career struggled with injuries.

Just seems to massively drag out the tournament when each game is only a few hours long? They do sometimes have a game in the day and then one in the evening.

It's weird. There's only one game today, and one tomorrow, but then it goes back to two games.

Maybe scheduling? Do they do the final rounds at the same time so there is more drama and less calculations?

Bangladesh 1 Mohammad Mithun, 2 Soumya Sarkar, 3 Sabbir Rahman , 4 Shakib Al Hasan, 5 Mahmudullah, 6 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 7 Shuvagata Hom, 8 Mashrafe Mortaza, 9 Saqlain Sajib, 10 Al-Amin Hossain, 11 Mustafizur Rahman

Australia: 1 Usman Khawaja, 2 Shane Watson, 3 Steven Smith, 4 David Warner, 5 Glenn Maxwell, 6 Mitchell Marsh, 7 James Faulkner, 8 Peter Nevill, 9 John Hastings, 10 Nathan Coulter-Nile, 11 Adam Zampa

    Australia to bowl first

Tamim is sick. He is not playing. Taskin and Sunny are out. Saqlain Sajib and Shuvagata Hom are playing. Al-Amin will also be playing. Mustafizur Rahman is back in the XI after injury.

No surprise that Agar has been dropped, but I am surprised not to see Hazlewood deployed.

Really glad that Khawaja has kept his place, too, after those rumours that Finch would come back in.

Think Tamim will be a huge miss for us. Can't see us winning this. I would've backed us more if we were bowling first.

He's ill so can't play. Was an awful ball by Watson too - would've been called a wide ffs.

5 runs after 2 overs too.
