Sensational end to the innings from England. They conceded just 20 from the final four overs.

Roy has managed to hit as many boundaries in that first over as NZ did in their final TEN overs. Crikey. That said, NZ have been brilliant at defending low totals so far.

100 up in the 11th over. England should do this.

By the way, I expect India vs Windies to be much higher scoring than this. The lowest total in the tournament in Mumbai has been Afghanistan's 172 against South Africa.

Well played England! NZ have been the best team this tournament, but fell short when it truly mattered.

The death bowling and then Roy at the top, were fantastic.

Looks like Pandey or even Negi will come in for Yuvi. Dhoni really isn't keen on Rahane in the middle order, so that pretty much rules him out, unfortunately. Haven't seen much of Negi, but he isn't a specialist batsman and with our batting order misfiring, Pandey is a much better option, in my opinion!

Rahane will only come in as an opener, apparently, and Pandey has been spotted in the nets quite a lot today so that's the obvious change you'd expect.

The track at Mumbai will produce a run-fest in my opinion. The lowest score on that pitch in the tournament thus far has been 172, achieved by Afghanistan. It makes for a paradise for Kohli, Dhoni, Gayle et al.

On a pitch like Mumbai, I don't see any reason why Rahane shouldn't play in the middle order. The only reason why Dhoni doesn't like him playing there is when the pitch is really slow, he finds it hard to rotate the strike etc, but Rahane is a class player and on a pitch like Mumbai, I'm sure he would do well. Still, gives Pandey a massive chance.

Yep, and it should do. Ashwin vs Gayle will be the key match up.

Rahane definitely deserves his chance - in fact, I'd go as far as saying he has been unlucky to go for so long without being selected.

I only just realised you mentioned Negi in in your initial post, mate. Sorry. Yeah, he is definitely an option - and even more so when you figure that he's a like-for-like Yuvraj replacement: left-handed, left-arm spin. Worth remembering everybody in the Windies order is right-handed, bar Gayle and Benn.

Pandey's reputation for scoring runs when it matters - namely for India against Australia last time out, and the IPL final - will probably see him selected, though.

Agreed, completely. I rate Rahane really highly haha.

No problem, and yeah he is similar to Yuvraj, but it would be a massive decision to bring him in, considering that he is more of a spinner than a batsman.

Hmm yeah, he has performed when most needed.

Looking forward to hearing your team of the tournament after Sunday! We've got a bit of break from first-class cricket while the domestic season gets underway, but hopefully the IPL will entertain me. It'll be my first proper time watching it.

We've got the Sri Lankan cricket team in England to look forward to in May, too. Happy days.

Will have to think long and hard about the team haha, but will definitely put one up! I find the IPL too long for a tournament, but I normally keep an eye on it anyway!

It's going to be an amazing summer of sport with the Olympics and the Euros on as well as International cricket!

I've got tickets for the Sri Lanka ODI at Edgbaston, and Pakistan Test at Edgbaston.

Plenty to look forward to: the cricket, Wimbledon, Euros, Olympics, and the Ryder Cup later this year.

Kudos to England - an all-round performance that got them to the final! Everything seemed bleak at the start of the tournament but it can happen, Pakistan in the 1992 WC is an example of being down and out (England weren't to that extent) and fighting back to win the damn thing. Predicted a NZ/India final but feel latter will edge out on their home turf.

Interviewer: "Are you worried about Kohli?"

Darren Sammy: "Have you ever heard of Chris Gayle?"

It's obvious to suggest tomorrow's match is a battle of Kohli vs Gayle, but it goes deeper than that. Both teams' starts will be crucial. West Indies are fast starters, averaging 42 with their openers, while India's average merely 11 and are notoriously slow starters.

Looking forward to the tests vs Pakistan, although I feel like England will be unbeaten by the end of your home season.

    Forgot about Wimbledon, too.

Hopefully India will be playing at some point, too
