Long term relationship - Binding problem?

Currently we're both still seperated from each other, meaning that we don't actually live with each other and can still spend quite a large chunk of our time doing things that we personally enjoy.

I'm not sure how many others here would consider themselves a moderate or heavy internet user, its my own source of entertainment.

During a phone conversation, it suddenly hit me that if I were to be with someone else. I guess my internet usage would be a major issue of conflict between the two of us. Surprised I didn't see this beforehand.

Now of course I'd probably still choose the person over the internet, thats pretty simple even if the net plays quite a large role in my life. Just that its now lead to this curious question...

How often do you spend with your significant other? Has it sort of limited what you previously did before you got together and before you lived together? Lastly whether there were any other major factors to compatibility in your experience?

My boyfriend is a complete computer nerd. Hahaha. Well, he loves computers and so forth and is always on his! When we first started to go out, it caused a lot of problems. Well, at first it was great 'cos we were all focused on each other..then we gradually became more comfortable and then it was a problem 'cos I was saying he spent way too much time on it. We talked it out, and argued it out..many a time! And now I think we've found a compromise.

My boyfriend lives just up the road, so we see each other almost every day, and we still do everything we used to. We agree that 'cos we see each other so much, that we can't spend every minute together all lovey dovey, so now it's mainly just us watching a tv show we like, or playing a game or film, or I'll be playing piano and he'll be playing poker on the computer. We do our own thing even when we're together. The only major factor in compatibility was how shy he was at first and the fact he was on the computer too much and it drove me nuts! But we've sorted that out now.

I can't say either of us over uses the computer, I live with my fiance, and we do most things together, but we have away time, he plays Warhammer 40,000 with his brother, and I have this message board, and the pub! Things do change when you live together, you can't be as self centred, as you have someone else to share things with, and money is an issue, oh the list goes on and on. You never find out if you're truly compatible until you've lived together I believe.
My husband is a p.c. support technician for a living, so that gives you an idea that he's into computers lol.

We're both heavily into computers and electronic equipment actually. Him moreso than me though.

I have a p.c. that I use both for uni work, and to surf the net, and to play games.
I also have a laptop that I use purely for uni work.
I also have a nintendo DS and a PSP (I barely use either of them though).

My hubby has a P.C. that he uses mostly for tinkering about with the software and hardware on. Our daughter also uses it for kiddy websites and interactive learning software (she's only little though so we help her with it).
He also has an I-MAC that he uses for watching online videos on, playing games, surfing the net.

Also he has a PSP which he uses almost every day, an X-BOX 360 that he uses maybe once a week, and has recently purchased a Wii which he uses every day.

Actually as we speak, our daughter is napping, I'm on here, and my hubby is over on the other side of the room on his I-MAC.

To be honest I have to say we don't spend a lot of quality time together. When our daughter is asleep, I'm always on my PC, and he is either on the other side of the room on his I-MAC, or downstairs on his Wii.
