I'd like to know what People think of this.

I have an offer for civil service graduate scheme (finance)

I have another for a bulge bracket IB for Operations graduate scheme.

I can't seem to be able to decide. so hard.

Also, can you negotiate a grad scheme salary with a BB? Anyone with experience?

There is little to no chance of salary negotiation for a grad scheme of this type.

Grad schemes are standardised, there will be 0 room for negotiations.

    Thanks for your response guys.

What would anyone pick. Civil Service or the BB offer? They both seem good opportunities but civil service I think is more secured but having a BB name on cv I think is good, so I'm confused. I'd appreciate some opinion, thanks.

You cannot negotiate salary at graduate level, no. Experienced hires can though.

Depends on what you want to do. Finance and Operations are quite different career paths.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I know. That's why I'm asking for opinion if anyone's currently working within either sector. I guess my question is which one offers better career progression. Just don't want to regret my choice.
