    Hi!

Im really stuck on what university to choose. So i have been offered a place at Loughborough for textile design, which is rated second in the country for the course which is great. but i have also been offered a place from CSM for the same thing, but their course is nowhere near as highly ranked. however, having done the foundation at CSM i know what sort of opportunities it can bring and its kinda famous for fashion etc. but i haven't really enjoyed this year, it feels massively commercialised and being on a course where over half the people can't speak english really sucks.

i fell in love with loughborough when i went there, however i want to do knit design and i don't think they do knit?? if anyone has information about either course that would be amazing. or any advice i will be so grateful! i really am stuck and need to make a decision soon!!

I am currently stuck on the same thing. (Brighton Vs Nottingham trent)

Both are such amazing opportunities! Well done! I think you should go where you think you will be happier and have a higher quality of life. I visited loughborough a few weeks ago (&went on a night out) the Student union is unreal, the campus is great, the facilities are one of the best I have seen. when I was touring around loughborough all the girls seemed funny and happy & all spoke english aha. if that helps.

Personally, I decided to not apply for CSM as I felt like there was too much pressure and it is quite mature for university. I know the industry links are great and so is the "central saint martin's" name! but personally I am just too chilled out for that and need to be in a more student environment.
Either degree you will go far (as they are both so good) so you might as well do the degree you have your heart set on!

Hope this helps & good luck!

    Hi HanaElizabeth

Great to hear that you are considering Loughborough

I'd recommend getting in touch with the department directly and discussing your options, it sounds like it would be really beneficial for you to have a chat with someone. You can contact them directly at [email protected] or on 01509 228922

Hope this helps, good luck with your decision

    Amy
