umm, I kinda get what your doing here, could you explain it please?

    I was thinking, the cost of y = 3x.
So the total cost would be, 3x+x ?

    thelegend99
Sorry i meant that the objective line is P=3y+x (some1 correct me if i'm wrong)

Having problems with the MS on 6b
It said that the cost is to be minimised and we should use point testing to find a value, but the points the MS used is clearly not the minimal cost? What about the x + y = 500, and the y = x -250 intersection? Surely thats smaller

Please may someone help with Question 4? I understand everything except why, in the last part, there are 119 pauses of two seconds. Where does the 119 come from?

    Thanks

But that's not in the feasible region labelled R.

I have a clash between Core 4 (AQA) and Decision 1 (Edexcel) with 25% Extra Time C4, 50% extra time in D1. Total exam time 4hrs 13 mins excluding my supervised rest breaks. Really looking forward to tomorrow.
Ouch I've got a friend who gets 50% extra time for both

It pauses between tests, so by the time it's on the 119th scanner it pauses 119 times, but it doesn't have to after the 120th, because it would have finished.

I don't get why there's a third dummy (the one between G and I). Surely just a solid line would achieve the same thing? Help please!

How would you show that K depends on G if it were a solid line?

The dummy from G meeting H deals with that though. What about the third dummy

EDIT: ah I've realised my mistake, my way would also show that F is dependent on K which it isn't

No, actually it's because you couldn't show K depends on H because the node halfway through G wouldn't be there.

    X>5
    Shade below
    X<5
    Shade above

Just shade the opposite to what the arrow is saying
Ok but what if you've got X<4Y or something
