did anyone get c= 1.5x + y
yes i did but i think its wrong
2. (Original post by brokeins1)
For the y value of V I got 280/59, anyone could confirm or correct me ?
I think I got that
3. (Original post by cocacola212)
did anyone get c= 1.5x + y
I thought it was the delux ones which had 50%more capacity

So c= 1.5Y+x

you had to sub 11,4 back into the other inequality that they made you find with the given budget... sorry mate but that will only be the last accuracy mark I suppose, you got the points right!
also i did write the cost in the table but i wrote c=17 in bigger writing would i still loose the mark?
really dont want to get less than 70.
5. (Original post by cocacola212)
did anyone get c= 1.5x + y
yes, but that is incorrect. i'm trying to figure out if they will give follow through marks if you **** up the objective line
6. (Original post by ISAAQAHELP)
why are they doing this to me!!!!!!

now 69/75 if i didn't get prims wrong would that still be 90UMS+?
let's hope so.. lost at least 4 in total with not finishing the scheduling and not drawing the activity network correctly.

everyone seems to think time was an issue so there will be a low % of people getting 75/75 so we should be alright
7. (Original post by ISAAQAHELP)
24x+65y was not the objective line i doubt they did that that would be too different from past papers.
It was only one more step
8. (Original post by olyatrunova)
i accidentally took the q paper out of the exam hall ahahah
9. (Original post by ellot)
I think I got that
Yay, thanks dude. I got that on my calculators Ans saved 😃
10. For the linear programming i used point testing and found that the highest capacity was when x=12 and y=3 , using C=2x+3y. Then i put it into 20x + 65y to get the cost as £435. (11,4) and (10,5) had lower total capacity so i dont think they are correct if anyone used them. For the algorithm one why did people do 122x0.5 i didnt see y being 0.5 anywhere on the question so i used the value of y in the table which was 5 right? then did 122x5 to get 610, is this correct.
11. (Original post by cocacola212)
I got C=1.5x+y as the objective line and that works cos y was meant to have a capacity 50% bigger and if you plug in values, it works. make c=9 and you'll see
Lol .. that is exactly what I put ... I thought I was the only one even though the majority is saying something else ..
12. (Original post by ISAAQAHELP)
i did this: objective line C=x+1.5y
the i got: 11 standard and 4 deluxe
then i wrote: C=(11)+1.5(4)=17

i didn't actually write capacity = 17

do you think i still would get the marks?
It didn't ask for capacity but asked for the max point, so if you wrote 11 standard and 4 deluxe, or something like that, you should get the marks

Honeslty, I'm 110% sure Prims is 80 not 82 .. Sorry lad
15. Did anyone get that for bin packing the lower bound was optimal???

You use that formula to find out the exact value but then you had to find the integers buy trying out various points around the max vertex. Then you put the values into 24x+65y to find the cost.
I'm pretty sure that was it anyway.
Into 1.5y+x I thought
17. Can somebody upload the paper?

Yes it was optimal ... 4 bins
20. Did you have to simplify 20x + 65y =< 520?

Also I got C=2x+3y. Would this not be right because we aren't given a value for capacity, only relative capacity?
