I completed an Access to HE: Nursing & Midwifery in 2014 and got rejected, told me it was due to lack of experience. So since then I have been volunteering at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield and done a few online courses.
I applied again and was rejected once again. This time I was told I was 3 credits down, but I did have my credits but they were changed (suppose they can do that).
So now I have to re sit my GCSE Maths & English even though I sat my level 2's to originally get onto my Access, as it's all changed.
This means another year for my maths & English then another 2 years for another course to gain my credits.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.....Thank you in advance.

If you are able to move you could do a foundation year which would mean less time.

The second rejection was unfortunate as it seems o have been a miscalculation/lack of planning. Have you been to the careers service either at the Uni (where you are doing the access course) or the on in the city centre? Its importnat you get good advice and support, so you understand exacty what your options are and not mistakes are made.

I can understand the maths and English, which are straightforward, but am unsure about why you have to do the extra 2 years. If hats so, then the careers service will be able to discuss complementtary courses and you should liaise with the Uni you are applying to who run the course. They should have suggestions on courses they look favourably upon.

My most importnat point is that it sounds like you wnat to do nursing but have hit some setbacks. If its really what you want to do, then dont let it put you off and keep going.
