Anyone here know how it's going to be marked? As in, by each "route", or the whole Edexcel History together?

It depends although I think it would most likely be each route because, I dunno, it just sounds logical for people who actually know the material to mark it but, then again, they might mark it on analysis instead of evidence so you never know, maybe.
any1 got any revision tools for spain??
Oh god how much has everyone revised for Italy I know nothing I'm actually gonna fail ffs

If you need help revising for Italy, search 'Mr Suter A level Italy' into youtube, there's videos for each topic of the Italy course and I'm using them because they're so useful and explain everything really clearly.
Can someone help me plan:

How accurate is it to say that fascist ideologh changed in the years 1919-21?

Im stuggling
As people seemed to find this helpful when I did it for Germany, I have done a load of example essay question plans for the Italy topic.

There are some introductions and conclusions left out and some of the content/explanations may not always be great as I have been rushing to try and complete them but hopefully they might be helpful in some way or another. If you have any questions about the content in them please feel free to ask and I will try and explain what I have put

I can understand why you would struggle with this question as it seems quite hard to come up with a plan for. It is mainly the time span that has got me here but I'll have a go at coming up with a plan for it though I'm not sure if it will work or how good it will be

Intro - Fascist ideology initially more violent and revolutionary, generally anticlerical as well, then changed later on to be less radical but mainly as a way to get more votes due to public not supporting their more radical and violent beliefs, suggests ideology did change but only as a way to gain more support so overall ideology may not have changed that much
P1 - Mussolini first part of the Socialists and was part of the Maximalists when the party was split over working with Giolitti, instead wanted a revolution and violent overthrow of the state, shows fascist ideology as being very radical initially and focused more on violent means to achieve goals
P2 - Later Mussolini's ideas for gaining power changed from original radical views as seen through his Dual Policy of trying to gain position of prime minister through more constitutional which he believed would put him in a better position later on but more radical people in the PNF wanting to use more violent means, suggests though Mussolini ideas changed and wanted to use mixture of more constitutional means along with more violent ones, actual fascist ideology did not change that much as the more violent and radical beliefs and actions were still present and being used just not to as harsh degree as previously as now had more support so Mussolini trying to keep support by giving less radical image
P3 - Ultimately Fascist ideology seemed to make complete change as ended up changing anticlerical views to actually supporting the Catholic Church and working with them and to supporting the King and monarchy too, implies ideology did change between 1919-21, initial 1919 views complete opposite of later 1921 views suggesting ideology did change as had a dramatic difference in ideology between start and end of time period
P4 - Could be argued fascist ideology did or did not change between 1919-21:
- It did change as compared to 1919 ideology of being anticlerical and removing the monarchy in place of a republic to actually supporting both the Church and King by 1921 along with changing highly radical and violent ideology to being slightly more constitutional through Mussolini's dual policy aims suggesting the fascist ideology no longer followed its original path from 1919 when compared to the fascist ideology of 1921
- It did not change as despite changing views on the church or monarchy, many of these decisions were based around Mussolini who was leader of the PNF and would make decisions like these as a way to benefit the party rather than because that was what the fascist ideology had now changed to and believed, can see through events like the March on Rome that more violent and radical fascist ideology was still present but just covered up and hidden more as a political advantage as a way to try and gain more support and votes for the fascists, suggests ideology though appearing different did not actually change that much in the years 1919-21

That's about the best I can come up with to explain Fascist ideology changing/not changing over that time period and how I would probably plan to answer this question. Sorry if any of my arguments don't make sense or any of the facts aren't quite right as I am mainly just going of basic stuff I can remember and relate to the question and might not actually work with what the argument is trying to say. If any of it doesn't make sense just let me know though and I will be happy to try and help

I took the Italy paper, I thought that the first source question was really unreasonable as the Battle of Caporetto was such a tiny part of the specification and how could we be expected to know which way the troops were facing and what army was where!

Agree with that - but with the 1st 2 questions you can afford to only use the source (iirc own knowledge is in the top bracket) so marks are still available if you had the right exam technique.

otherwise did Q5 on economic policies yess something i revised in the morning.
Hey guys i'm currently in year 12 and taking this route. Any advice/tips from year 13s who took this last year? Not getting a lot of help from teachers and I desperately need to do well. Would greatly appreciate help from anybody,

Hi, the best advice I can give is to find as many practice questions as you can and write up plans for all of them and have a go at writing out full essays too. That way, through making the plans, you are revising the course content and preparing for the exam at the same time. In addition to that I would just say to make sure you know about the main events throughout the different time periods (such as Weimar, Nazi and FRG for the Germany topic) and can talk about the similarities and differences between each of them.

I hope that helps a bit but if you have any other questions please feel free to send me a message and I will do my best to help,

Best of luck for the exams xx
