On a plane travelling recently and caught up with two films, one of them being Legend

As someone fascinated by the Krays and having read John Pearson's follow up book to the Profession of Violence, Hardy did a great job as both brothers. Everyone rightly noted his performance as schizophrenic Ronnie but I thought his role of Reg was slightly more better. Also, for me, I'm not sure the scene implying the rape of Frances is true as the book I read suggested they hadn't had a sexual relationship at all and the fight in the club between the two brothers..? But enjoyed it.

I saw it in the cinema back in September and it was awesome. Tom Hardy is a first class actor and I expected nothing less than perfection. I thought Ronnie was made out to be more of a caricature than he probably was in real life, but Reggie was played brilliantly, especially in the final scene. Making Mad Max, The Revenant and this film all in the same year - it amazes me how Tom Hardy churns out one Oscar-worthy performance after another!
