I know I shouldn't self-diagnose, but I think it's obvious that I am either extremely shy or have social anxiety. It's difficult to seek help, when getting help requires me to face my fear of talking to people. I'm hopefully going to go to uni in September, and I really don't want to isolate myself anymore, I'm scared I'll be known as a social hermit who never talks to anyone.

What kind of things can actually help?

Due to the moderation of TSR becoming that of preserving posts that contain derogatory language I rarely make TSR posts at the moment. However, I'd be happy to talk in PM if you feel able to message me . I can't offer loads of advice, but I can offer my own personal experiences.
