URGENT: Coughing way too frequently... Watch

There are times where I'm relaxed and don't feel the urge to cough too often. Other times, though, I feel the urge to cough every 2-3 seconds. This may happen for up to 1-2 hours in a lesson at school and then, when I move to the next, the cough might have eased slightly. My cough was most extreme a couple of days ago where I was coughing so frequently that it resulted in gagging; my eyes watered.

On weekends, my cough isn't too bad but towards the evening, I may experience a long stint of it, similarly, this happens on weekdays too. I have no idea why this is: could it be persistent cough, anxiety cough or who knows what? I was told by a member of staff to go to the doctors.

This issue has been going on for months but it's an intermittent thing. For example, during February half-term I barely coughed, whereas at school, in a lesson and at home on many evenings, I have and continued doing so for months on end.

I have GCSEs this summer and so I am worried about the fact that I may cough constantly, interrupting other students.

Go to your doc. It could be anything from alergies or infection to cancer. Whatever it is they should be able to sort it out and most likely quickly. The longer you leave it the more likely it is it could develop into something worse.
