How do I convince him I'm not an alcoholic?? watch

    Key points
    - I joked around saying my friends thought I was
    - I've drank every time we've met (thrice)
    - I've said I drink at least once a week
    - I said it was a coping mechanism

I regret telling him all of the above but its too late now. He always tries to stop me from drinking too much and makes comments about it (in a light hearted way).

The more I say I'm not the more he thinks I am.

How can I take it all back and convince him I'm not??

Does it matter? Just relax and maybe don't drink the next few times you see him, he'll soon see for himself it's not true.

How can you be alcoholic when you drink just once a week?

This is Britain. We are a nation of drinkers. Drinking "at least" once a week is perfectly normal.

I very much doubt his house is in order to the degree that he can judge others for enjoying a wee drink.

Find someone less judgmental and dumb.

Get few bottles of alcohol and drain it down, shows how crazy you are not into it. (Some people cant afford to waste alcohol as though they are crazy about it)

Women who have drank more than very little alcohol in the last year at least are in my view not worth having children with. Alcohol, as a strong diuretic, drains a body of minerals and nutrients on a large scale, meaning that children will be born with nutritional deficiencies and sub-development.

A woman who drinks is an unfit mother.

Alcoholic is someone who is alcohol dependant which you are not if you drink once a week. I drink every day and I'm not so you are just peachy - tell him to mind his own business
