Boyfriend refused to show me his room
Monday just gone I tried video chatting with my bf for the first time. He refused and changed it to a phone call. When asked why, he said his room was messy. I did not quite believe that as he is a neat and clean person, but anyhow said I could wait for him to clean up his room. He was very adamant about not showing me his room and then said I was acting like a child.
Anyhow, since then I have requested for photos of his room, but he plain out refused to with the reasoning that he sees it is not important. I explained to him it is just part of me wanting to know him better.
He has been and has stayed over at my place most weekends.
Am I being unreasonable to request to see his room?

How old is he? He probably just has embarrassing wallpaper or thinks it looks childish or something

yes, he did say the reason he didnt want to show me his room was because it was in a poor state. i am a (very) messy person who can go without cleaning my room for a month (but since I now has a cleaner that comes weekly, my room is presentable). i fail to see why anyone would be ashamed of a messy room, therefore am pretty annoyed that he would not show me his room.
someone has commented why i have never been to his place. it is partly my refusal to do so because i work almost every weekend.

I doubt his room is just messy. I don't know why he'd make a big enough deal not to show you if it were just that. Unless it was absolutely disgusting, but you say he's a neat person. I think the more likely scenario is he feels embarrassed to show you something in there. His room may still look quite childish. He may not have changed things much when he got older.
