How does Steinbeck present sympathy for Crooks, especially in chapter 4? watch

    • Thread Starter

I'm doing my GCSE English Language controlled assessment. This is my third time retaking it and I am really confused on what quotes to use, what they mean and how they link back to the 1930's.

The essay question is above, how does Steinbeck present sympathy for Crooks, especially in chapter 4?

Can you please give me quotes from chapter 4 of 'Of Mice and Men'?
What do certain words mean? And what does it show about society in the 1930's?

    I would really appreciate it.

PS: I can't ask my teacher. This is because she starts shouting at me telling me that I don't listen in class. However, this is not true as everyone in our class is under achieving even though they still listen.
