by relative abundance i meant relative intensity as written in your question,

normally if they give the intensity as a % for 79br and 81br then you can divide those %'s by 2 to give the % for what the question asks for

Why are you doing a Edexcel paper when this is a AQA thread? If you have done all the AQA CHEM1 papers then fine enough xD

    Hello guys,

After tomorrow's CHEM1 exam (sorry for being a bit late..), instead of deliberating on the answers, we will crack on with the CHEM2 and fire away on any problems and anything we find difficult in the Unit on this thread. I hope my knowledge can also come into use and after throughly going over most of CHEM1,2,4,5 - I feel more equipped and understand Chemistry a lot better so hopefully you guys can benefit from it.

I hope we all smash the CHEM1 exam, easy UMS pick up but all be careful on certain questions and make sure YOU READ THE QUESTION TWICE before answering it, after going through the majority of papers, you need to be calm and composed on it, the more silly mistakes you make, it will account a long way and it ain't good.

Learn your definitions well and also, make sure you are on top of the shapes of molecules too and the calculations, major keys to success in the exam.

    Peace.
that's a good shout, but we are sitting the new spec chemistry paper

    although paper 1 consists of:

    1.atomic structure
    2.amount of substance
    3.bonding
    4.energetics
    5.equilibrium(inc. Kc constant)
    6.group 2 and group 7 elements

I realised it but when I keep trying to go to the relevant thread, it redirects me to this one, maybe it may be confused by the fact CHEM1 and CHEM2 of the old spec is on the same days as the new spec, so just letting people know if they get redirected to this one

see my previous message attached, at least most of these topics will appear tomorrow if not all of them, according to aqa specification

And dont forget to be careful with decimal places and significant figures!
remember always to stick the number of significant figures and decimal places as they've used in the question!
