So not too long ago I fell awkwardly onto my foot and heard a crack. It bruised and was red and swollen for a few days from the day after the accident, the redness has since gone down but still partly there and there's still some faint bruising, it's also still painful to walk on though I can walk. It's also painful to touch the bruised area, and wear trainers etc.

So, should I go back to the doctors about it? I went originally and they didn't think there was any damage to the bone, just soft tissue damage (I guess because of the swelling), but it's still hurting when a certain part of the foot is touched (bone).

You've probably pulled a few ligaments around your bone, that's why it seems like you've damaged your bone.
It will take around 6-8 weeks for it to fully heal but just be careful with walking on it, try to exercise it as much as you can but also try to rest it.
Use RICE (Rest, Ice, Comfortable Support, Elevation), this will help you reduce the bruising and the pain.

    Get well soon!
