Improving my grades just that little bit further? Watch

I dont feelas if I'm not achieving the results I want/expect to. For most of the assessments, I feel like I understand all of the content to quite a high standard. But I always seem to make errors during the test that let me down. It could be a stress issue, because I am as calm as possible when the test starts, but usually become more and more stressed through the course of the test. I've looked at a few ways to overcome this, but haven't really found a method that actually works effectively.

My marks usually range from 85-93% but I know that I am capable of more because I understand all the content and get all of the practise questions correct. I am the second best in most of my classes, but the number one guy always pumps out scores of 96+. I think that we are both at a similar level in terms fo knowledge (and in fact I work harder than him), but he seems to outperform me in every single test and exam.

How should one go about improving their test and exam-taking strategies to take their grades just that little bit higher?I'm not complaining about not being perfect, I'm merely looking for a way to perform better in tests and exams, as I feel like I am not fulfilling my true potential in school.

TL; DR "I am a high achiever already, please complement me so I feel good"
