Hi,I was just wondering how you are going to treat AS UMSs for those of us who have only 1 or 2 in subjects that aren't very relevant to what we want to do (e.g. I will have AS Maths but I want to do History)? Will they be less important given not everyone will have them and they may present a distorted view than having 4 grades? Thanks so much!

Hello and thank you for your question. This is a thread for Admissions Assessments rather than UMS but we will still use UMS where we have it, while bearing in mind that our research shows that best three UMS or Science UMS is what has been shown to be the most effective predictor in most subjects. Where a three UMS average is not available then any UMS that we have will be used with caution.

Thank you so much - sorry didn't realise this wasn't the correct place for that question! Thanks for allaying my worries though.

Thank you for the questions and to jneill for posting the links to the specification pages. Good luck to all of you and keep an eye out for further threads from the University and from college representatives.
