I'm a British national and have been studying in Asia for 5 years because my father got a job in Malaysia and obviously I had to follow him. He is in Malaysia temporarily for work reasons only. I have a NI number and a UK bank account. 4 UK universities have offered me home fees for 2016/2017 despite being out the UK for more than 3 years and I want to know if I'll also be able to get a student loan despite being out of the UK for more than 3 years. Obviously the universities asked me a series of questions to determine my fees status and were satisfied with my replies so will I get a student loan??Thanks

If you meet the residence requirements for home fees then you probably meet them for student support too.

See http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information...tudent-Support for more information and get your application in as soon as possible. With a slightly complicated residence situation you might need to send through more/varied evidence for approval so make sure you give yourself time to do that.

    Hi Manorside

If this was a temporary break in residency we may ask you to send some evidence to confirm this.

    Thanks
