Can I leave college at 16 UK?

Hello,
I am 16 years old and live in the UK. I am currently in full time education at college but am really not enjoying it. I want to leave and set up my own business making and selling children's clothing but I am not sure on the legal consequences that may take place if I do not attend college. I don't really want to do an apprenticeship or anything like that; I am really eager to pursue my clothing dream. Can I leave college? Will my parents face charges? What will happen?
Thank you
You have to be in full time education till you are 18

Do you know the consequences if I just do not attend?
You can work or volunteer (for 20 hours or more a week) while in part-time education or training

You should contact your local careers service or the national careers service for guidance 0800 100 900 https://nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/Pages/Home.aspx

You may need to clear it with your LEA.

Ah that's a big help! Thank you so much!
I'm 16 and I'm in high school but I'm doing my last year. Can I leave school at 16 and not continue with school?
It's illegal and is against the law but I highly doubt anyone will go after you. I have lots of friends who dropped out and nothing has happened to them.

You can work an apprenticeship, traineeship, full time education or spend 20+volunteering whilst in part time education/training. Also if you live outside of England, such as Wales like I do then you can leave at 16.
