Hello! I would like to know if ethnocentrism is considered an ethical issue? This is because it may mislead people into believing wrong information about a certain culture.

The issue of deception (which is more or less what this is) is more about deceiving people taking part in the study rather than deceiving the general populous.

I would say that the sample not being stated would be slightly misleading to the populous, but wouldn't go so far as saying it is an ethical issue (I doubt the British Psychological Society would stop the research from taking place if you only used people in London, for example).

    tl'dr, no.
