I have a Bush TV from Argos and I bought it like two years ago and it happened before that it went on standby and wouldn't turn on but was far too busy to actually take care of it and eventually it took its own course and turned on a couple of weeks later.

It has now happened again and I actually wanna watch stuff with my TV but it will not come off standby, its been on standby for the past four weeks almost. I've tried plugging it out for a couple of days and I have tried putting it into a different socket. Any advice on how to fix this or would I be better off buying a new one?

Thank you for any advice available!

Are you using the remote or the buttons on the tv?
    Do they both not work?
Is there a standby light on?
    Have you googled this problem?
