I have a maths exam tomorrow and I don't understand the concept of subtracting surds. i understand that they must be the same to subtract but I've been confused on an equation for ages, so help would be appreciated )

For \frac{7}{6}\sqrt 2- \frac{3}{2}\sqrt 2

You just do \frac{7}{6}-\frac{3}{2}\sqrt 2 to get your final answer.
