PPE Vs Economics and History

Hi,

I'm having second thoughts about my choosing Economics and Economic History for my degree and I'm beginning to think that PPE might interest me more. Would you say that the career prospects between the two of them are similar? (talking about York's respecitve courses). Also one route I've thought strongly about taking is postgrad degree in or allied to Economics such as LSE's International Political Economy. Would doing a PPE degree be spreading myself to thinly in terms of economic and technical content to make this possible?

Thanks,
Alex.

doesn't really matter - both decent courses.

may be better to take PPE if you want to do something like political economy afterwards.

Most people in IPE at LSE (I have friends on that course) have BAs in Politics or IR, not in economics. However EH will be very good background for that course.

Thanks for the replies. IPE isn't my ultimate ambition or anything, just a course I thought sounded interesting. If I wanted to do pure Economics postgrad would PPE still be suitable? All the tutors I've talked to have said EH would be fine as long as I chose my modules wisely, but PPE being 3 subjects I'm not sure if it's specialised enough.
