Strict pakistani parents making me depressed?

Its true im british pakistani currently stressing over gcses and my dad is pakistani and its just getting to hard they often act as if culture is religion
Ik everything ppl say you've heard already but...be friends with dudes but don't like freely walk with them. Keep in mind maybe they still blame and frustrate themselves over your old relationship. Maybe just give them a break in only some topics like don't walk around with guys but instead hang with them in like cafes or uni. Then simply tell them it takes time but u r trying to get distanced from dudes. After they seem to go with it, open up about your depression.
I know parents can sometimes be selfish
Why are you so happy to continue following a religion and ideology that seems to have only tie down your opportunities and allowed you parents to dictate your life. Live your life how you want to live it, not how some 1000 year old scroll says you should.
