I have been offered both! Any opinions on which would be better? I know Exeter is ranked higher...

I've heard better things about Edinburgh personally.

But the best advice is probably to look at the supervisors at each university, and see which one fits your interests better and is currently doing good research into that area

Also if either can give any financial support or scholarships to you, and what the accommodation and lifestyle is like at that university!
