I'm struggling to find values in projectiles questions when both time and 𝜽 (theta) are unknown???

For example, one question asks 'A particle is fired at speed 196m/s at angle theta to the horizontal. If its maximum height is 490m, find theta.'

I tried subbing what i knew into both horizontal and vertical equations and solving simultaneously, but i am still confused.

Any help would be great thanks

a rearrangement of the formula v^2=u^2+2as and replacing u with the vertical component of the particles velocity and a by -g should give the correct answer
