    Hi, I wondered if I could get some advice on this question.

    What would be the structure of the dipeptide, the incomplete structure of which is shown below:



    Whilst I realise that the peptide bond will form between an H from the NH2 group of the structure on the LHS and the OH of the COOH of the RHS, I am left with a structure that has some carbons with only 3 bonds when I draw out my full structure. Is that correct?

    I suggest a misunderstanding of the question.
    Notice both structures contain a carbon with three bonds.
