I have applied to both York and Sheffield to study History. Yet both seem really good, and I can't decide which to go to.

I like the course at both, but the tutors at York seemed boring and the seminar rooms not that good. I was also unsure about the library at York. Is the night-life good too? Are the societies good? Are the people fun?

Any help advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

Thanks for considering the University of York.

Jamie, one of our second year students, has written a blog about his experiences of studying History at York which you might find useful: http://blogs.york.ac.uk/student-voic...study/history/

You can also ask him any questions directly by posting a comment on his blog.

    Thanks,

    Helen
