I have applied for student finance but when I applied, based on my course etc they website told me that the highest amount I am entitled to is £6,904. However, when it came to section 7, which is the conformation page it said that I could only get £3,900. I then asked a friend and they said that as long as I've indicated that I want to apply for the higher amount of maintenance loan it should be fine because after they have checked my parents income they will tell me how much I am actually entitled to. I just wanted to check is this right? As long as I've indicated that I want to apply for the higher amount of maintenance loan is it possible that the amount can be higher than £3900 after student finance have checked my parents income?
Trying to apply for higher loan but says maximum I can apply for is £3900 watch

Yes, as long as you have indicated you wish to be assessed based on household income, this will be carried out. Your parents will be sent an email asking them for the household income to support your application.
