relief needed!

what is the best form of relief from cystitis without getting antibiotics? (they don't relieve it anyways just make it go away, and for person reasons i don't want to take anymore antibiotics atm)

also how can you avoid getting it fairly often? and when i mean relief, i mean not just from the burning sensation but also form the constant feeling you need the toilet, lectures can be very uncomfortable otherwise!
It is advisable to get it treated properly, as I'm told that it can spread and become rather nasty.

In the mean time, drink plenty of water, cranberry juice, or those cystitis sachets from the chemist.

Or loads and loads of barley water - helps neutralise the acid.
