    Slightly random question and sorry for general stupidity.

    I'm completing the pre-2015 Edexcel Chemistry A Level (as an International A Level). Learning at home. As I don't have time in a laboratory, I chose Edexcel because it's possible to do an examination paper instead of assessed practical work (called Units 3 and 6).

    I've now come across something called 'Qualitative Assessed Practicals' and can't find in the specification whether these are compulsory to pass the unit, or whether they are a different way to assess the content contained in the Units 3 and 6 exam papers.

    If anyone can help, I'd really really appreciate it. Thank you
