    Hi,

I'm doing my AS-Levels and my school (English is my second language) they told me that it's compulsory to take English language for AS and A-Level in my school. If i do my exams at British council will i be able to chose subjects i wanna do or are they gonna make me take (English) as well?

There are no compulsory subjects at A Level. Your school is lying and they should not be forcing you to take any certain subject as there are no subjects students are legally required to take post-GCSE. A Levels themselves aren't even compulsory.

No English Language is not necessary after GCSE you DO NOT HAVE TO DO IT. I am doing Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths at A level after I finish my GCSE's. What your school is saying is ********. I am not even British and English is my secound language as well and I do not have to do A level English Language.

It's not compulsory in terms of a whole national level. But if it's part of your school's policy, then by that standard, it is compulsory for you as you are a student who has agreed to abide by their standards, laws, rules and policies.
