    Depends on a lot of things. What kind of vampires? How many of them? Can they turn people? Oh questions~

    ZOMBIEEES!

    I've dreams about Zombie Apocalypses. In one, I was a master conqueror of all things Zombie. In the other, after coming into contact with a bloody tissue, I became a zombie, and hunted after my friends. It wasn't too shabby a life.

    Zombies = constant 24/7 risk.
    Vampires = only risk during hours of darkness and can be kept at bay perfectly well through judicious use of crosses, garlic and the fact that they're not allowed to enter your house.

    Vampire apocalypse sounds a lot more livable.

    Edit: I'm well aware of the futility of applying logic to such circumstances. Shush.
    I didn't even think of this.. damn, vampire apocalypse for sure!

    Zombies any day, since most Vampire lore seems to have them with superhuman strength and clearly they are still very intelligent and can work in teams, there's no reason they can't make use of human weaponry as well, holding out a fort against 100's of vampires would become impossible, where as with reasonably fortification walking-dead style zombies aren't difficult to handle.

    Though zombie apocalypse wise it depends on the nature of the virus, is it a zombie bites you and you change, or the "everyone is infected" angle, which makes deaths in the camp a problem (separate sleeping quarters an idea).

    zombies
    it's more fun because they're stupid and slow and an easy kill

    vampires is just..impossible...
    I assume when one species takes over humanity will try to defeat them

    on that assumption I have to go for the easier species.

    Zombie because I know for sure that damage to the head is gonna work but with vampires it could be a multitude of things there's so much variation in the lore

    Sounds like fun, being bitten and all? I suppose if you get bitten by a zombie that's just nasty though.
